Similarly to all airports, Budapest Airport also operates a 'shuttle service' called as 'Airport Minibus'. Passengers are taken to the previously requested address by microbuses with eight to eleven seats. The multi-language speaking drivers know Budapest and its traffic, including the simplest and fastest routes, very well. The guests who use the Minibus can get into direct contact with the Airport and might obtain information about the required flights already during of the journey.
In the arrival-level passenger hall passengers are received at customer service of Airport Minibus, where they may, in addition to purchasing tickets, reserve a hotel room. The 'Budapest Card' allowing use of preferences when you purchase your ticket is available here. Our buses depart depending on the number of passengers. Each bus carries those passengers who travel to the same direction. If the duration of waiting is expected to exceed 20 minutes, our staff will inform you accordingly. If the duration of waiting exceeds 30 minutes, the full-fare and return tickets purchased at the site may be returned.
Tickets are available at the Airport Minibus counter in the arrival-level passenger hall of Ferihegy Airport. The Airport Minibus counters are open between 05.00 a.m. and 01.00 a.m. at the Terminals.
The Airport minibus service is popular and relatively cheap: for HUF 2100 it will drop passengers anywhere within the city limits. A return ticket (HUF 3600) is valid for six months.
Budapest Airport is relatively well accessible also by Public Transportation Means. Passengers are taken by a direct bus service from Terminals 1 and 2, called the 'Airport Bus', and, from now on, passengers are taken by Bus 93 from Terminal 1 to Kobanya-Kispest Metro Station . By the 'blue' (3) Metro you can reach Deak Square in downtown within 15 minutes if you travel in the direction of ‘Ujpest-kozpont' . At Deák Square you have to change the metro line to 'red' (2) Metro and travel to Battyhany Square in the direction of 'Déli Pályaudvar'. Most of the hotels suggested are in walking distance from Batthyany square.
To get to the venue, at Batthyany square you have take HEV, which is the local train. Follow the signs showing the green line. Getting off at Timar utca stop (3 rd stop) you will see the restaurant heading to Danube.
At Batthyany square you can also chose Bus No 60. or 86. You have to get off at Nagyszombat Street stop. (It takes about 20 minutes in big traffic). From the stop walk back on the street, turn left and cross the HEV line by the overhead crossing. On the other side, turn right and you will see the restaurant. back |
